TeamViewer's Path to a Sustainable Climate Strategy

The case study “TeamViewer CCF – From Measurement to Management” shows how the software company TeamViewer SE, in collaboration with Five Glaciers Consulting, has fundamentally restructured its corporate carbon footprint (CCF).

The goal was to transition from a complex software solution to a transparent, audit-proof carbon footprint that could be used as a strategic management tool. To achieve this, Five Glaciers developed a customized calculation model, conducted workshops with data providers, analyzed previous years’ carbon footprints, and managed the verification process in accordance with ISO 14064.

The results:

  • A transparent, verified carbon footprint as the basis for the climate strategy
  • A roadmap for emissions reduction with clear measures and governance structures
  • Stronger standing in ESG ratings such as CDP, EcoVadis, and Sustainalytics
  • Greater data sovereignty across departments and subsidiaries

The case study demonstrates that accurate carbon accounting not only addresses regulatory requirements such as ESRS E1, but also accelerates implementation and enhances the strategic value of the overall decarbonization strategy
